June 18, 2013Hi Al,
Whenever you hear investor stories know that you are seeing the victories. You don’t see the hundreds of no’s Craig had to hear to get to these few sellers.
It is true that sellers can be grouped into certain priority levels however the underlying goal is to help every seller while staying in a profitable business.
Hope this make sense. And Yes, you’ll see as soon as you get started and stay committed. š

John

November 2, 2013Hi,
I am a mobile home broker located in St. Petersburg, FL. Although there are many mobile home communities here, entering into the mobile home business has been challenging, yet as expected since I’m a new broker. I find that most brokers and dealers in my area are very competitive and just a simple question is not taken too lightly so therefore, I’m pretty much on my own. I would really love some advice on how I can build a reputation for my business, Make it a Mobile (www.makeitamobile.com) with many of the park owners so I can eventually upgrade my license to dealer status and begin buying and selling. At the level of broker, I’m not able to do any of that. Also, in the State of Florida, anyone buying and selling one home must obtain a license.

November 3, 2013Hi Sheena,
Thanks for reaching out to me on this matter. Please see my thoughts below. I have italicized your words to make them easier to read. My words are not italicized.
I am a mobile home broker located in St. Petersburg, FL. Excellent. Although there are many mobile home communities here, entering into the mobile home business has been challenging, yet as expected since Iām a new broker. I find that most brokers and dealers in my area are very competitive and just a simple question is not taken too lightly so therefore, Iām pretty much on my own. Do not be discouraged! You can do this. This is common for brokers/investors with a scarcity mindset. In reality there are more than enough deals when you have an edge. I would really love some advice on how I can build a reputation for my business, Make it a Mobile (www.makeitamobile.com) with many of the park owners so I can eventually upgrade my license to dealer status and begin buying and selling. You will not make a name for yourself online, you will do this by hitting the real-world and making a positive change in sellers, park managers, owners, and investor’s lives. Does this make sense? If not let me know. At the level of broker, Iām not able to do any of that. Also, in the State of Florida, anyone buying and selling one home must obtain a license. When you purchase a mobile home in a park to resell for a profit you are correct in FL. To invest in mobile homes without a license you will need to not buy and sell or violate this state law. Other states have similar limits per year.
Hope this helps.
